You've been off air a lot recently.
Looking good!Evening All
Just finished todays fun and games on my build.
I am pleased to say that ALL the cladding is on, complete, finished as a task.
All the follow-on work is now inside the building.
So tomorrow is plasterboard & insulation day.
Me paint brushes are 10 inner pack fer 3 sovs.Ooops!
If it were me I'd get some propah brush restorer. Summat like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/zinsser-...bgu8Ij5P93PzoDvDtBAaArNEEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Never needed it, but i really rate Zinzer BIN stuff. So this may be OK.
Others who know will come on and comment. But I know how long it takes to get a decent brush to the point where it really gives a good finish.
Thanks for the good reviews. It is pressure-treated timber but the plan is to paint it with Black Barn Paint on the outside. So far it has taken me and Tom 9 days to get this far. I reckon 2 or 3 more days and it will be done to a level where I can finish it on my own and Tom can go do work on my son's place.Looking good!
Are you leaving the timber as it is, or are you treating it any further? I'm assuming it is pressure treated. In which case the answer will be "No" and you'll just wait till it changes to a nice light grey.

Be careful, it'll try and take you onto the grassit's lawn mower petrol I'm using so maybe it's not suitable
I will have to look into the time-lag from "dip in preservative" to "able to take paint", I wasn't aware of that, but it makes sense. This is above my pay grade really as, although we have a lot of fences all using PT timber, we never paint it.
But I thought there needed to be an amount of time between treatment and paint.
I can see why you want to paint it black to match the other timber on the house. Makes perfect sense.
Just one?... are you sure it wasn't for a pack of 4?£150 for the sensor

They ain't. Bike parts are manufactured in batches a fraction of the size of those for cars. A decent online breaker could help though.Ouch!
What happened to "Bike parts are cheap."
