Morning All :D
I have been unbelievably lucky with the weather during this build; apart from some snow flurries and a smattering of frost the weather has been dry.
Last day for the roofing today I hope. Cut the hole out for the skylight dome and seal the rubber to the rear wall of the house and put all the trim-caps on. :)
Then we switch to inside work insulating and boarding. Plastering will be a "bought-in" trade.
The External cladding should arrive on Saturday. So next week will be closing off the outside over the "house-wrap" layer.
Have a great day everyone! :D

I did go there and there does seem to be some parts although me buying blind would be a mistake as my knowledge of computer inners can be written on a pin head! I will make some time today to contact my 'Easy PC' man to see if he can help. Normally, his service is done in the client's home but I won't be here so I will see if I can drop it off at his home and leave it there for the week. :)
The computer was personally delivered to Mr Easy PC by 11am this morning.:)

Managed to get the roof trims done on 3 sides and the 4' x 2' skylight in today. :)
Still managed to dodge the weather, we will try and weatherproof the wall abutment tomorrow.
Feeling "brave" we removed the 2 x 4 tie-bar timber linking the 2 long sides of the building to see what would happen.
It did not immediately collapse (good). It did "pop" apart by 5mm (anticipated, and not wanted, but also TBH not unexpected). ;)
Measurements were taken and recorded and further measurements will be taken to see it the thing is now stable/static and settlement is finished.
Nothing to stop us putting a tie-bar back in at any point, although it would be a bit hideous.:oops::rolleyes:

Overall, I am still pleased. :D

You might remember me telling you about my neighbours tyres getting stingered in a mistake by the police last weekend. Last night I saw the mobile fitter at 10pm working on his car, a new Mini with run-flat flat tyres. Turns out that when they replaced the front two they used cheap chy knees non run-flats. It played havoc with the monitoring system which was when he noticed the wrong tyres had been fitted. So now he's got all 4 replaced with original fitment Pirellis.

Had a pleasant saturday today, and good run out in the landy for a change - not had much use of it in lock down :(. Did about 40 miles with some rural lanes mixed in, to get some supplies for the ongoing grounds maintenance of Wimblowdriver Towers. And dropped in to see the grandkids on me way back home.
