Smoothriteable?Morning All
Certainly a brisk one out there today.
All the usual stuff done, going to have a cup of coffee in moment.
I may be putting up some battening and some curtain track later.
There's another minor problem with the "CHATHE" (CHinese-lATHE), it seems it was spray-painted underwater, all the paint is falling off the sheet steel panels.
Now this is not critical to its operation at all, but it is depressing.
Have a nice weekend.

Better than a smack in the face with a wet fish, just about. The response from the seller is: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience, we have express shipped (FEDEX) 2 new drive belts, and would offer you £40 refund for your troubles."
I think I will cut my losses, take their cash and fix all the issues myself.
Hi Dips, has something happened? Is this apropos of something? For all those who can't be bothered to either say something nice or shut up, remember what you have said when the Black Dog sits at your door ...
I think I will try some proper "metal paint" and go for a very light (brilliant White?) colour so as to improve overall visibility in the working area.Smoothriteable?
Smooth Hammerite or Smoothrite! (Well some peeps call it that). https://www.zoro.co.uk/shop/lubrica...MIyunih_OO7gIVw6fVCh1k2QslEAAYASAAEgLO0vD_BwEI think I will try some proper "metal paint" and go for a very light (brilliant White?) colour so as to improve overall visibility in the working area.
I might try Rustoleum or smooth Hammerite. But TBH, anything is better than the "poster-paint" they seem to have used
How daft is that.Aha!
Thanks for enlightening me!
Did wonder, they looked to me like the legs off builder's barrows.
Looks like the result of using the wrong paint on contaminated metal. Eye finks a good clean after the paint is removed will be of benefit. Perhaps an etch primer anorl.I think I will try some proper "metal paint" and go for a very light (brilliant White?) colour so as to improve overall visibility in the working area.

Have yer gottid one of them there new fangled dryers wivva heat pump so yer dunt need a 5 inch eggsause pipe which chucks oat heat?In my ongoing quest to reduce energy consumption in me house I am currently doing a load of clothes washing while the machine is connected to a power monitor so I can see just how much it costs.
I'll report back once the wash cycle is complete as I know you all want to know the results and I'll then do a tumble cycle and let you know how much that costs as well.
I do like to live life to the max.
I can see where this is leading but don't forget, when you do get a new job people are a bit prejudiced about BO. Sniff sniff -In my ongoing quest to reduce energy consumption in me house I am currently doing a load of clothes washing while the machine is connected to a power monitor so I can see just how many pennies it costs.

Our lecky tariffs don't offer cheap overnight lecky, so it doesn't matter what time I day I run the machine, it would cost the same.
It is a cheapy one from Currys. L8W6D18Ooo nice. May eye ask which one yer gottid? We have always gone fer separate washers un dryers. Finking being if it fails yer lose both options to wash un dry.
