Morning all from Tier 4 land.
Really unclear about what we can actually do for Xmas.
No household mixing of anyone in Tier4, even on the one day?
I'm happy NOT to see the kids/grand-kids (other than to dump the presents on their doorsteps, wish them a happy Christmas and run.
But, the 91 YO MIL is a vulnerable person all alone. On Xmas Day? Not sure I can allow that.
Have a lovely day. :D
You should check but I think you can have her over, don't the rest of her tribe want her?:):):)

Dry and sunny here!
Anyone else heard about all the tier 4 Lonnerners running away from their tier filling trains and the roads, just to make sure it spreads far and wide?:rolleyes::rolleyes::eek::eek::eek:
FFS
It is bizarre isn't it? I'm happy to stay put in this village/town. :)
Most of my family are here and All I have to do is drop the gifts off and watch thru the patio doors/windows as the kids open their gifts.
Job-Done! :D

Evening all here's todays happenings...........

Went to the unit & cleaned up started making a work bench so some chopping & welding :):)
Then phone call from the misses went her 10k walk & lost the house door key AAhhhhggg FFS
Found it after 1/2 n oor :D I only took the barrel out last night to measure it & order another one
as its tight.

Ordered Chinese now where's the rum..
Next time tie it on a piece of string round her neck.............tight!

FÜCK !! Am in Tier 4.
According to that, we have to leave the 91 YO MIL all alone on Xmas day because SHE is effectively another household?
Jesus!
The MIL is unable to shop for herself and yet we are NOT ALLOWED to take her shopping? WTF?

Gov. says:

Support bubbles are still allowed in Tier 4 areas, and are permitted in every Tier across England.

Support bubbles are still allowed to mix indoors unlike anyone else.

They are also allowed to have overnight stays between the two households involved in the support bubble.

The Government website reads: “You must not meet socially indoors with family or friends unless they are part of your household or support bubble.”

You can form a support bubble with another household if any of the following apply to you:

• you are the only adult in your household (any other members of the household having been under 18 on 12 June 2020), or are an under 18-year-old living without any adults
• you live with someone with a disability who requires continuous care and there is no other adult living in the household
• you live with a child under 1, or who was under 1 on 2 December 2020
• you live with a child under 5, or who was under 5 on 2 December 2020, with a disability

We wore out rings on wedding day & now on special occasions, rest of the time they are securely left in the cupboard. As they are titanium they are hard to cut & bend back to a shape.even you finger swelling slightly causes worry.
Dunno about others but I could barely get my wedding ring off my finger after my first marriage went boobsup. 7 years later.
Kept it for ages, and eventually cashed it in, NO chance of getting it on then, second one, which went on my finger in 1999, I can again barely get off my finger.
Do everyone's fingers get thicker like this as they get older?
