Sadly all bits of it are connected to each other. So the continuity test won't work, I don't think.
Wish it would, , it would make it easier.
Getting the car misty then switching it on should at least narrow down the line that has the break.
The break often is visible, and then the expensive silver gloop can work, but I once had one and couldn't find the break even with a microscope type lens.

You're welcome!Thanks @derwendolly I do know its all transitory and not a long-term imposition. It does indeed annoy me somewhat that her own lad seems to duck first-line stuff all the time, but hey-ho that's why I bite my tongue and vent here on LZ. Cheaper than any therapist and often a lot more useful.
