Spitfire I dug out my snow chains I think one of the rotating loops has parted I think I cant remember which one it was but there is another set in the garage at pops there is defo 3 good ones and one bad one (from my set). Either way I'll drop off the ones that I have here tomorrow morning before work and I will repair the broken loop

oh, and my mates prob was the transfer box- now jammed in low range :(

-- Jai, would you have a transfer box for a 300tdi defender??

Stariont,

I haven't got one here but could probably get one or more likley a Discovery box (higher high range) er but it would be about £130 my source is expensive but he only takes out ones he knows is good.

he had a strange noise all the way back, and his transfer box has dumped its oil all over his drive way.
he did replace the linkage last week i think??

Oops! if it was adjusted incorectly then..............

Oh well I can probably get him an LT230 box but it will be about £130 and it may be a disco 1.22 opposed to 1.4. Its a common swap and is supposed to save fuel and caning the engine at high speed.

If he needs one shout but he might be better looking on Ebay but its a risk good or bad.

Jai

sounds like today was good fun, wish i could of been there, cant wait to see the pics.

i've spent the weekend removing the carpet from the rear floor of my disco and checking for rust and also looking over the sills and chassis.
Good news is the chassis are fine but rear floor, sills and body mount brackets to be replaced so alot of work on my hands.theres pics here.http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/disco-1-rear-floor-rottern-93264.html

i'm going to try the N/A snorkel kit from these i think
Raised Air Intakes / Safari Snorkels for Land Rovers

I had the same problem mate, my 90 is a C reg was a N/A now changed the engine but like you had no vents on the wings. I cut my own out very tidy job wouldnt have noticed the difference and the safari looks far better and does make some added power due to the ram air. I would advise cutting the whole yourself if you want a hand or want me to do it more than willing. and the Safari i have will be cheaper than those on the link only want like a 100 for it. let me know even if you need a hand fitting the one above. if your up for some local lanes to us some time would be good, there are some ok lanes.

got the pic's from sunday chaps
