Sorry bit annoyed! Its £25 quid to do a Punch event and its as serious as you want to make it. I dunno why people going off piste I mean there is feck all to do other than go up and then drive down.

Don't know why all these people just don't go to P&P or a punch event maybe they are worries their motors will break, their motors won't pass scruteneering, they will be shown up or maybe its the £25 entry fee I dunno but its annoying! You can have fun doing lanes without fecking them up.

Has it been shut for that reason.you are right there will be none left at all.didn't know if it was something to do with center parcs as they seem to do as they please. Be ashame to loose the last lane that is actually kept open. I agree that certain people ruin it for all of us who just like laning and been out in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Makes me mad to.

I need to ring up the council tomorrow and find out exactly why its been closed Unfortunatly the tyre marks were far too obvious and I suspect that its that evidence will only go against the right to keep them open

I really hope that lane isnt closed... the kids love it up there and we always stop for a while at the top for them to play in the woods.

Still Centreparcs are going to be a powerful force to go up against...you can bet they will be greasing some palms at the council to try to get the lane closed. They will not want open access at the back of their property!

I have sent them an email anyhow offering help from a local group. Can't do any harm!

There was some new gates but that was access to the bridleways running across Gypsy Lane.

Done brake pipe jai. It must of got caught on something as it just ripped it clean off!!
Was a bit scary as I thought I was gonna shunt John up the rear!!
Need to blead the system properly as it still has a mix of gear oil and brake fluid in.

Classic!

At least you got home and it all sorted mate. I do hope the others enjoyed themselves and to be honest they did the right thing not driving that lane twas a bit tight I wouldn't have driven it with my hardtop and roof rack. Or should I say I won't drive it now I know how it gets. I probably woulda before hand not looking too far ahead and ended up driving on the edge or in the river!

Having driven that lane twice before, both times in the dry, I was shocked at how bad it gets when it's wet. No way should anyone drive that in the wet having seen how slippery it becomes. Lucky he slid into the tree at the start, because if he didn't then he would have fallen in further down the lane and it's a lot worse there.
There should be a notice of sorts really, "Do not drive this lane when it's wet or you'll probably die."

Hi Kev!,

Hows Wales? Still very jelous of your barns!!!!

ATM Wales is V.windy!! but quite mild so not so bad. Haven't had time to go and check out the local lanes but hopefully soon; I have driven a number of them before but will need to see how they are now.

As for barns, well, you know how it is; a guy just has to have a project!

Evening Brett, good to see you keeping them in line and getting out and about. Wish I could have got out meself but you know how it is; fix this, fix that, get a dishwasher and plumb it in, where's this, where's that and so it goes on. I have decided I'm not moving again!!

I don't think it was all that bad. but certainly not for somone on their own on road tyres.

The worst part was a couple of trees sticking out so you have to wave your wheels near the edge still had a wee bit to go. Wouldn't fancy it with roofrack would have to be in the river to clear the trees on the inside with me roof rack for sure.
