The only way I could get enough traction AND the correct angle was to sit my landy at 45 degs to the casualty vehicle on top of another bank. The bank I was on was only 6" wider than my landy and had a 3 foot vertical drop off the side of it and trees all down the other side. The bucket around the tree kept the back of my landy true while I steered my front wheels to compensate as and when required.

I'll be leaving in a bit can I just ask jai and brett and others if possible to look out on the forum for pictures (I will probably pm if i can get wifi signal) so you can tell us what you think of our ideas to pull ben's disco out. If i can get signal then it will probably be about 11.30 they get posted (im guessing)

And Spyderman, I'll get you those lights too

You guys have been busy!!

For what it's worth, I have some Jate's in me garage, if the team is going to go out then I'm happy to tag along after work. From what I have read I think Spydie is right, jacking and waffles sounds like the way to go; I also have a length of scaffold tube that might be handy. I'm sure a number of people remember the spot of bother we had when a disco kind of fell in a ditch - this sounds similar. If you want/need my help somebody give me a call or text.

I think they're still there. I've seen the pictures. My thoughts are attach front end to tree on right hand side and pull the Disco backwards, ideally with a snatch block from a tree on the right also. Waffles will help to stop it slipping sideways.
It isn't quite as bad looking as I expected.

Not too good then!!

I've not seen any photos or anything but if I understand the situation, strops off trees for support would be good, could they then not use a highlift off the tow hitch (with a shackle) to lift the back wheel clear of the edge then use a standard bottle jack at an angle to slew over like we did with DB? Just make sure there is enough room for the farm jack to fall over clear of anybody.
