Have you driven this route? Many thanks for sending the link!

No it was sent to me along with a load of other routes round that area. Which I'm in the process of sorting out, tidying up as there's loads of duplicates and series of routes 1 or so miles long and linked together. Once I've got em all sorted into proper routes and named etc I'll be dishing em out to reliable peeps wot int gonna tek the **** and drive convoys of 20 or so landies over em.

According to the OS maps it's all minor roads, white roads and boats. But it's best to confirm with the row officer that none of them have been TRO'd.

We're going to take a look over toward\princes risborough this evening. Leaving about 7-7.30 I would think. Found the lanes earlier in the year butthey were closed... gonna take pot luck on whether they are open.

well now, take a look we did. Drove part of the ridgeway which is a nice pleasant non challenging little drive. There's also a track that looks a little more challenging, gave Phil a couple of headaches before we decided to delay driving it until daylight, simply due to the Frontiera bottoming out in the ruts. Phil drove out ok but discretion is the better part of valour so we'll save that one for the weekend I think, (all comers welcome).

All this talk of people out laning and having fun is depressing.:(
Mine is sitting there with a big hole in the front where an engine should be. Back working on it tomorrow night, should see some good progress, in stripping the motor down, so that I can then order the new parts and hopefully start getting it back together.
Picking up some new Cobra bucket seats this morning, bargain on Fleabay. They're retro black pvc 60's style sports car style, so in keeping with the Series classic look. Didn't want some really modern seat, even though it would probably be more comfy.
Southdown stainless steel snorkel should arrive any day too.
I'm really conscious of keeping looking like a series Landy, not a Hybrid or Defender. It's taking a lot of thought. Hopefully it will turn out to be the wolf in sheep's clothing that I'm after. :D

Spyderman,

It sounds truly awsome. BTW, you are always welcome to hitch a ride if you want to get out and about, but not sure who is doing what. I've been out a couple of evenings but nothing to write home about.

Unfortunately I am a bit tied up this weekend but after that if folks is going laning I'm sure we can sort something out.

Kev,
Thanks for the offer, but I'm in Devon this w/e, Manchester next and all of my spare evenings are over at DB's working on the car.

I almost had a set of 2inch springs and shocks that were six years old , they were fitted to a Classic rangie by scorpion .. , he wanted £100 , got there a little late but if they arnt picked up he will sell them to me .

You got me thinking about 35s Brett with arches i wonder how much cutting i would have to do ,,,

I have become a man possesed . first up snorkel and breathers who from and how lol .. then diff guards and steering guard , too many out there ..

This thread is on fire with us lot . lmao ..

Makes good reading ...

My Disco's got a 4 inch lift and the arches cut out with arch kits fitted. I've got 265/75/16 fitted now that come out about 31, but a friends Disco has a 4 inch lift and the arches done fitted it with Mudzilla 33/13.5 but because of the tread pattern they are nearer to being 34, but these give some problems with ripping into the arch above the wheel on extreme articulation but just about able to live with it, I'm looking at fitting 34/11.5 jungle Trekers with wheel spacers next time as the best compromise between ground clearance and articulation. so i would not recomend fitting 35's to a Disco with a 2 inch lift and arch kit or you wont have any rear inner wheel arches left.
