EAS problems and central locking with a mind of its own

Right guys this is my first range rover so please bear with me.

How long should the EAS compressor run for, while I'm driving mine runs for around 40 sec every 3 minutes or so (with the most irritating vibration ever) heard that if the compressor is working overtime then there is probably a fault with the bags?

And my central locking....when I press open on the key fob all locks open and close straight after any ideas what that could be?

It is possibly feeding a leak. Check the mountings are in good condition the washers are orientated properly and the mounting nuts are not over tightened.
 
As for the locks, that could be a miss-adjusted linkage to the sill locking button!

Get some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the bags and pipes, as Wammers says, could be feeding a leak.

It is hard to put a figure on how often the pump should run, it is down to sound judgement to determine what is excessive...yours seems to be a tad high but not as bad as some we have had on here!

It should run after a height change for obvious reasons, and the EAS readjusts vehicle height after every brake application and every few minutes during engine running aslong as the height difference is greater than 8mm.
 
When it stops raining I'll go out and check the mounts and check the bags for any leaks. Hopefully I'm just over worrying, although that vibration is driving me insane
 
On some cars the EAS box also rests on the inner wing, a gentle bash of the wing with a soft faced mallet wher it touches gets rid on a lot of noise. 40 seconds every 3 minutes could be normal depending on road conditions. Some also cycle with the bonnet open.
 
As the above. Would highly recommend you get hold of the eas diagnostics software and cable. You've got a p38 - you'll need it. The nice Mr Datatek can supply you for a few shillings - send him a personal message for details.:welcome:
 
So I've had a look at the holding mount and 2 of them are loose tightened them up and I've either over tightened one or it was already knackered, any way I've ordered the new mounts from flebay, took some bubble spray out and checked all 4 bags, couldn't see any leaks so all is good there. Hopefully I'm just being a nervous nelly

Did you check the pipes where they enter the valve block ?:)
 
Crikey,if you're nervous now, just wait a few months and you'll be able to thread a sewing machine whilst its running:D:D

The compressor mounts should not be tight, just nipped to stop excess movement, the nylock nuts don't shake loose.
