Seems a bit cheeky to charge €50 more for the P38 than the Disco or Defender.

I wonder if you could buy one for one of the cheaper vehicle types which a friend owns (or you're likely to purchase in the future) an then add a P38 code for £50 so you'd end up with a nanocom with two vehicle coverage for the price of a p38 unit?

Own a Lynx and like it, never needed a function it can't do, such as calibrating blend motors, maybe not needed as after changing blend motor just reset and all is well.

Bought mine when Island started selling them @ £200 + Vat.

Really like it uses Laptop with a good view over things, have tried neighbors Nano, okay it.s handy in glove box but it cannot do EAS so need laptop anyway.

Brilliant it does the lot in model range you buy it for, i.e. all P38's GEMS, THOR & Diesels
buy another LR, L322 for example and you just buy an upgrade to that model.
and then it's not VIN locked.

The Nano can do the EAS. :)

Am erring on side of Lynx, have Datateks EAS cable and CD.......if Lynx can do 99% of it, am happy enough, plus the extra model/VINs coverage must be a bonus compared to Nanocom

The Nano can do the EAS. :)

Indeed it can with a nicer interface than the clunky Lynx, the vehicle modules for the Lynx cost nearly as much as the whole device - but they are capable of working against all models within a vehicle group - on the other hand the unlock modules for the Nanocom are reasonably priced.

If you wait an hour or two I'll make a video of all Lynx's features for you to take a look at.

I've never been brave enough to see what's beyond the calibrate EAS option, and synchronising the engine management codes is a manual process particular to each engine type rather than a simple press of a button!

If your engine is Thor you just need to order for that, no extra modules or cables needed, it comes complete, not complicated at all.

Sure but Lynx can be used for All Land Rovers if you wish, Nano cannot.

Personally I don't care what folks buy, just giving info...:)
