Yeah they are all around Liskeard ish, I remember a few locations so could possibly come with you :)

That would be brilliant! I still need to get a few bits sorted, but the list of things to do just gets longer.

Fitting the new clutch master cylinder this weekend. Driving from Liskeard to Callington with no gear control was... interesting. And then theres the exhaust problems, I get a good dose of CO whenever I drive it. Oh and the heater needs to be fixed, the mornings are a bit chilly. And the idle tick rate needs to be adjusted on the carburettor, stalling at every roundabout and junction isn't fun. The joys of a landy.

I need to find my OS map and have a good look around the area at some point. There are a few knackered roads locally that are fun to drive but I don't know of any proper lanes nearby.

Looks a lot worse then it is was caused by muddy puddles all the lanes we drove where of a hard surface and where not damaged beyond natural recovery :) all lanes where walked first. We found one lane that was marked as a road by mistake granted it was tarmac but had good foot and half deep ruts :) In fact why mine a dam slight cleaner and its white ?

Good! :) Just checking ;)

I would guess the reason your vehicle was a lot cleaner was that he was pitching into the water at too high a speed. Vey deep ruts are often caused by tractors. :(

Been having a good look at the lanes round there ...seems to be loads if ORPAS but not a lot of BOATS  Are all ORPAS open to vehicles?

No, they aren't! ORPAs need individual examination, some are access only, others carry end to end historic rights for the public.

Yeah, i think i was entering some ruts a bit too quickly :/ all in the process of learning though.

OK , will refer to definitive map :)

I haven't found it helps, they are just marked by red dots, whatever the historic situation. I just look on the ground for tyre marks etc., some of them have user evidence on TW, I think.

Just had Rich78 and his missus round for coffee, very pleasant! :) They seem to have got over their fear of scratching their Disco!:D

It's a route i've plotted for round liskard so it'll keep till i fancy a trip up to recce.
Glad Rich has come to his senses ...tis only a bit of paint after all :D
P.S i'll have a look on TW first .

Best ORPA I know of up there is undriveable due to washout atm, according to Jess0, if its the one I think I have done it years ago, best when dryish. Again if it is the one, I believe Pikey rolled his 110 there in the past. :D

You'll have to be more specific lol ...the place is riddled with ORPA's ...maybe i'll keep that one on the back burner for springtime ...plenty down here to be looking at ..:)

And it was lovely coffee aswell 😊 at least with the scratches people can tell it's being used for what it's meant for lol

It's No.6 on the list that I sent you Muds.

Number 6 , number 6 ..let me see..
Hmm thou shalt not roll ones LR ...nope that was number 5 ..:D
Ahh here we are ..thou shalt not send pervy PM's..:D

Suddenly had a panicky moment that the list had been deleted ..when I had a serious clear out of unnecessary banter :D but thankfully I've still got it , so it's now tucked away safely in a folder -phew! Thanks Trewey :)

The lane in question is undrivable I have driven it years ago and was sketchy since it has got worse since the meet turbo man I walked it and its BAD shame but I cant see it been drivable for some time especially for the average land rover. There are some good lanes round Liskeard however I do feel as some are driven to much personally I will be leaving them. Have scouted and found a few more lanes Will try them soon.
looking at the pic of the 90 you where entering the lane from the top the first bit with the massive rut in my opinion is the worst have got some pics somewhere when we did it not for the faint hearted.
