Hello All
Made it Cornwall near Camborne, just wondering if anyone can recommend a Land Rover specialist in the area, I have seen one called Steve Toyer Land Rovers, any feedback or suggestions of any other would be great.
Think the problem relates to the injector pump.
Many thanks
Nigel
Turboman Steve toyer is a land rover satellite dealer in penryn,
Yes penryn is a bit far from your especially when you already have a good chap only around the corner
Ere, Turboman, did you ever own an ex-military 2.5n/a soft top 90 in black?
Fraid not, mate. Wish I had, though!
Many thanks for the replies guys.
Spoke to that Steve Toyer Gergen earlier today, turns out the rumblng and vibrations was caused by a broken UJ and faulty front prop shaft, part is ordered and should be fitter tomorrow.
The other sound that can be heard will be investigated further tomorrow also, at the moment they think its something to do with the transfer box/gear box, but we shall see.
I let you know
Oh well, that's about three times as far from Camburn as landy Richards, and probably dearer too!
As you obviously didn't grease your props before leaving on your trip, maybe your gearbox issue has been caused by poor maintenance also, do you think your trans oil is at right levels and clean?
Did have a look at Richard Bros website but as it was nothing to do with injectors didn't feel the need to contact him, mine is also the EDC Variant and normally not many places touch them either.
The landy has been looked after with 6 monthly servicing and once over every month, for some reason though the front UJ has no grease nipple on the one I have had so it was only a matter of time before failing anyway. It's been on the car since I have owned it and that is over 6 years now,
You say about the gear box, mine is an auto and for some reason the top of the dip stick decides to pop itself off about an inch or so, oil levels are fine, and every garage and forum I have queried this with says its nothing to worry about, again this has been happening since I owned the vehicle and was declared to me when I bought it to.
Thank you Muds.I believed you were behind me somewhere :crazy_driver:
