Today I went green laning and broke the golden rule and went by myself .....however the green lanes near lands end are mostly gravel, and I had some fantastic views and the mrs enjoyed it can't wait to get out and about on the next green laning session photo to follow

Wouldn't worry about going there on yer own, Mart ;):) A skateboard would struggle to get stuck along there :D

Great views though, and a nice drive on the way down there, good introduction to laning for your good lady, much better than taking her out with a bunch of hellers ;):D

Looking really good!

I took mine down to the helford for a spin. First time I've had all the vents and windows open whilst driving and thoroughly enjoyed it! All the clunks, knocks and grinding seems to be dying down with use so a nice pootle through the lanes listening to the petrol gurgling and spluttering was lovely.

The series is being used more than the astra at the moment

Oh and I might have just found my first modification, a side exit exhaust. Seen another Series 3 in classic LR magazine and it looks very smart. (obviously after the rest of the work is done) I'm not an originalist but I'm a bit reluctant to start slapping halfords style crap over it so I'm being a little choosy :)

I must say I see many series and many don't get a second look because cover them in tat or stick bits on which are far too new or just don't look right on a series li do like side exit eggsauce tho look very smart

I agree, nice to keep it subtle with a nice old series. You certainly cant say monkfish is guilty of over modifying or over restoring though ;):D

Oh no I really like what monkfish is doing was just a general statement... I seen a series 1 for sale the other day and tried to convince the mrs it would make fantastic wedding car for us she ain't having it though

Ha ha i like my vehicle to show it's past/i dont have the time at the moment to strip the poor thing. :D the light blue door is now marine blue. Or a near enough shade and the rust has stopped now. I couldn't greenlane WAF if i did a nut and bolt restore. It'd sit in a garage going nowhere :)

Ha ha you don't have to backpedal, WAF is an ongoing concern.

It's constantly concerning me :)

Had my first breakdown. Headlight relay has gone :( i just swapped the main and dipped relays over..... Reminds me, i must get a new relay.

Oh and boats are taking up all my time. Racing on wednesday, thursday and sunday. Dinghy instructing the kids on a friday!

Nuttin wrong with yer vehicle at all! :)

Never liked the dustsheet and garage approach, mine have always been worked, a few dsmall dings and scratches add character, like the patina on an old painting ;)

Mr cycled the Deer track on Saturday , and assures me we've done worse..
So maybe we should go for a look see :)
Not done the lands end lanes , but if the views are good , I can feel a pasty picnic coming up :D

Its fine just take it very slow. Anytime youre up for it, I will bring the 90, though, don't want to scratch up the Disco

Great views from that St Just lane, right out over the Brisons

Yeah, sounds good to me! Take you for a drive in a real landy. I'm on holiday after the weekend for two and half weeks but we can sort something.
