I know the tax to pay in portugal is huge and thats fine, Land Rover will only give the original certificate so that doesnt help, I have a good agency handling it for me and they are experienced and speak perfect portuguese.
Im honestly surprised, I always thought fellow Land Rover owners were good people but I guess there are exceptions!

Wouldnt you love that?.
Expect he wants a copy of your log book v5 as well since mot doesn't show cylinder capacityWho in their right mind would go and get their car MOT'ED and send a copy of the MOT certificate to "anyone" never mind a complete stranger in another country.
What about refitting a 2.5 diesel engine then changing it back after the paperwork has been done.
Are you allowed to change an engine for a different type once the vehicle is registered?
You could say you were preparing it for the talked about ban on diesels.
Honest response? "Due to your lack of clarity it appears that you are asking people on the forum to do something illegal."
You are accusing me of asking someone to do something illegal, and I have been abundantly clear, despite that you and a few others have tried to entertain yourselves rather than be of any assistance.

My uk papers fully document the v8 engine with the engine number, thats not the issue. The issue is entertaining the portuguese authorities with what they request. I dont question what they want Im simply trying to get it, and I get what youre saying that no one knows me but I honeslty dont have the time to butter anyone up. Ive told the forum what I need and If anyone is willing to help please message me

- Portuguese Registry Office have asked me to provide them with an MOT of my car, in order to save transporting it there they have agreed and will settle for an MOT of another 90 V8 to see that it is legal in the UK (country of origin / registration) *** snip ***
There's been a response from one experienced member, and you've ignored it and got to the point of being rude about it.Everyone else is voicing an opinion. Amd you were rude to them to. You clearly don't know how the important forum works, ie this one. But you provided a good giggle for several so carry on.Ive only been annoyed by people accusing me of doing something illegal, scam or making stupid comments, Ive been on many forums over the years and am aware of the modus operandi but some of you have really been a pain and of no help at all (and yes if you accuse me of doing something illegal, make negative comments I will respond accordingly). While I appreciate advice from experienced members I am clear on what I need and if no one here is willing to do that favor in exchange for $$$ then goodbye to you all! Best luck to you all with your elaborate imaginations & paranoia!
