AAAAGH! Does ANYONE offer fully comp cover on driving other vehicles?!!

I have wasted hours trying to make sense of bots and live chat morons who can't answer a straight question, wondering if anyone here might cut the research time down!
Does anyone know of ANY company that offers car insurance with FULLY COMP cover to drive other vehicles, rather than just 3rd party only?
I am told it does still exist, but so far haven't found any!
If anyone knows, I'd love to hear, thanks

Try Adrian Flux? Most have it as an add-on or separate short term cover

No, most are 3rd party only, I can't even get that.
Long gone are the days it used to come standard on fully comp policy.

Thinking about it that would cost a pretty penny for you to insure yourself for every car in the country.
As mentioned you can get short term cover for a particular journey and particular vehicle.

I dont want a temp add on, I just want like I used to have, fully comp all the time on other vehicles not owned by me and with permission (DUH, otherwise it's TWOC).

Just thought I'd ask in case my impression was wrong, apparently not. It doesn't exist any more, though I am sure millionaires must be able to find it somewhere. I may try ringing a few old school brokerages, will update here if I hear anything remotely positive, which is as likely as Marxism leaving our schools.

I was never insured to drive every car in the country, but had many years of driving with fully comp cover on any vehicle I was given the keys for. Quite simple, policy terms stated cover provided while driving only (not while parked/stored). And think about it, if you can get 3rd party cover on other vehicles (which you can quite easily), that doesn't mean you're 'insured on every car in the country' does it?!

Closer to 60 than 30.
My fully comp always used to cover me 3rd party for any car. Now I can't even get that.

Yes it seems it wasn't as common as I thought, I must have just been lucky. My friend is 62 and he remembers having it for a long while too, but said it wasn't exactly 'standard'. I had a good broker I used for many years and they probably just shopped around and kept me having fully comp for other cars. It was nice to know I could hop in my friend's new car to try it out, without worrying about only having 3rd party cover!

I used to have this and 5years ago I changed jobs. Now they say I’m more of a risk as I drive Lorry’s, therefore no driving other cars on policy.
So as I only drive a car 2 days a week they still say I’m a risk… I can be named driver on mrs car
Asked why I can ride other persons motorbikes on 1 policy.. no responce.
Cannot even purchase an extra add on to the policy to cover me.
They never worried when I held a full race licence about driving other cars.

Jesus, that's insane.
I have researched all day. Two are worth a PHONE CALL (not online) to discuss quotes, Admiral and Aviva PREMIUM (not AvivaZero, Aviva Online, or just plan Aviva, only PREMIUM!). The Aviva Premium offer 3rd party cover on other cars as standard but says "Comprehensive - Activate When Required" which is about the best I have found so far.
also, Ashbourne Insurance in Hertfordshire were always very good to me, worth a chat with a real human in a real office in a real English town!

You need a Trader's Policy, but then there would be all sorts of conditions.
Can't think of a time when you got driving others cars fully comp, ever.
But it should be possible to drive other people's cars fully comp if they have an "any driver" policy.

In France you insure the car, not the driver so any car more or less is covered for any driver, as long as the driver has a licence.

Not if your in the motor trade or drive for a living.
They pass it onto other brokers who then won’t cover

Any one over 25 can drive our horse box. This was done that if there was an accident the 3 riders could get home ok.
Only problem is most new drivers don’t have the 7.5t requirements. Biggest they drive is 3.5t

You can only ever drive one vehicle at once and you need the owners consent
