Certainly not - just putting well-used and decently-engineered parts to good use.

The other option if you want to use a crate engine rather than build your own is to buy an adaptation kit from Mark's 4WD Adaptors in Australia - those cissies have been putting chevvies into landies for years - you get everything - Bellhousing, mounts, boss and flexplate for Auto (ZFHP22) and clutch for manual(LT85)

The only drawback is you can't use the kit with the monster RR torque convertor, only the medium jobby, so really you don't want to put a stroker or a screamer in - stick to 5.7 in standard tune(290bhp) and all will be well.

put the vid back in as Mr Noisy said it had dropped out.

Iv just read the whole lot and all I can say is we need a few videos of it running, and Mr. Noisy's too please Gents!

Iv gotta fight the temptation to take the (in comparison) small 3.5 carbed v8 out of mine for a windsor v8 thats stored in my garage for a future project

Top work by the way

UPDATE

MOT pass with no advisories - emissions 3.9 % for CO2(limit 4.5) and 966 for hydrocarbons(limit 1200).

Final fettling today and get road tax.........................................hopefully spend the weekend tootling around gently to bed brakes in etc.

Will be keeping an eye open, and ears, around town from now on then!!

Hi Steve

slight leak on the water pump and real steel closed till monday so it will probably be wednesday next week before the sleepy hollow of horley is disturbed from it's slumber!

Never mind - had a 15 minute road test today and she drives fantastic - smooth, powerful and poised.

Griffman,

If you blast it down the Smallfield Road (towards the M23 bridge from the Kings Head) I'll more than likely hear you!

Thinking of it, I might even hear from further away!!!

She is finally here - just got a weep on the water pump so need to replace but had 30 min test run....................................still grinning despite wales kickin our arses in the rugby.

Also had a slight issue with the front prop catching the offside header with lowered suspension so we put standard - height springs back on - I may modify the header in due course and drop it bck down but it's no big deal.

put me twisted supersports on..............................

hope you like the finished result.

Will post some more pics in due course.
