Im the same ,Its been riveting ,Will it live ,Tune in next week for the final part ,will it hold water....Is its oil pressure stable nurse ,Better than, casualty ,,,Not that i watch it you understand,, .......RR....Can't wait for ya to turn the key on this one!!
Definitely not good. Not having much luck are you.I think this car is cursed. Drained the oil and see metal shavings in bottom of sump. From what I hear not good?

Bottom end is pretty robust. It the metal steel or alloy? Is it like fine powder or larger?

If you drop the sump and can see nothing amiss, maybe it's come from the sprockets, chain & tensioners. If all looks OK, personally after cleaning the sump I would refill with oil, fill the filter housing and see what happens when you start it. Morning @wammers I will be putting head on soon, have attached photo of the lobes. Is this correct position for TDC firing on cylinder one? Thank you.
Thats great to hear!I did @Henry_b thanks mate in the end took quite a few goes and alot of mistakes and mishaps but she runs. I learned alot along the way if I ever have to do chains, head gasket and various pumps again oh and timing that flipping fuel pump
