I had a '69 FD Victor back in 1976. Had a 100k on the clock, a lot for back then, but motor was still strong. Solid body but like yours, rust holes in the top of the wings. Bench seats, floor change gears. Still got the special tool for adjusting the valves.

That's something which has improved over the years. People just took it for granted that a new car would be full of holes after five or six years. At least they don't rust away quite so quickly now.
 
No an actual manual gearbox but on a lever on the steering column.

My Dodge Sportsman Royale SE (5.9 litres of V8 "Burble") was Column change Auto in California in '85.
Lovely vehicle 1974 vintage and a family van. 2 captains chairs up front that swivelled 180 degrees, 2 rows of bench seats that either folded down to a double bed or flipped over to create a 6-seat face to face dinette.

2 years with my family on assignment from IBM UK to ROLM Corporation in Santa Clara. 4-bed rented house with a swimming pool & hot tub in the back garden.
