... I am mystified as to how ladies can be so enamoured of shoes but they can never seem to clean and polish them.
Is it something they teach at "Lady College" that expensive shoes can be bought but no upkeep of them is required?

I have a pair of recently made DM's and NOTHING I seem to do to them is making them supple. They are the most awful uncomfortable boots I have ever had on my feet.
Any Ideas?

Leather? I feel that with Clarks boots sometimes.
Neatsfoot oil is a great one to soften, also mountain warehouse has a fab conditioner for leather. It is a case or wearing them to soften up. also any rubbing points on your feet while breaking in put Vaseline on your feet to slow down the blistering process.

I has seen that somewhere anorl. My current fave is Mink Oil, a byproduct of the fur industry.
