Drove it to get a wheel bearing for the VW. I then spent 3 hours getting a b'std snapped bolt out of the upright.

How strange. Went out to sort lock and it worked fine. Only thing I can think of is the car has been sat not used for a while and I tried to open it while it was frozen. Anybody else had similar issue

Been having some issues with the boot lock. For a while you could hear the lock working but it wouldn't open. I got it opened and found it was down to rusty latches on the lower tail gate. I freed them off and greased it all up and all was well. Now the button has gone daft and it won't open...

I had a similar thing on my old d1 when the viscous coupling went. I got round it by drilling a dimple at one end of the flats of the nut then shocking it with a drift

What's car you got that they only made 200 of? I've got a Lotus Carlton and they made 900 of them and around 280 right hand drive. Bloody nitemare for spares.

No it sounds daft but have you actually checked to see if the tank has a pin hole? I know mine looks pretty scabby, just a thought. Oh and mine does the little dance thing to. I thought they all did that.
