    Retrofit electric mirrors

Mines a 2002 TD5, basic model and has electric mirrors. I presumed they all did?! Have you not got the switch for them then?

    propshaft

If it's a whole front prop it's all balanced and ready to go. Did mine a while back, quite easy. (I was just off my crutches after a knee op!) I did align the new with the same "orientation" as the old just in case in mattered, but I don't think anything technical needs doing, just replace one...

    D2 - three amigos

I should research changing the hub (if you don't already know how to do) "just in case". Not many 3A's go away and stay away! Buy a decent trolley jack. Check out "SGS engineering", had a sale recently, not sure if it's still on. A LR owner must own a proper jack. They're off the ground more...

    He goes nothing...

Front and rear diffs have a horrible plastic filler plug. Make sure it comes out before draining! Can get damaged easily, so top tip is change for a brass one (radiator bleed plug fits?!) off ebay etc

    He goes nothing...

You could use the fuel out the old filter, but could be mucky! I always keep a can of Diesel around anyway. 5 min job, easy peasy.

Changing tax class - any thoughts?

Sorry no idea, but had to ask- why didn't you just buy one with seats in to start with?!!

    D2 central locking problem

Have you tried it anywhere (location wise) else? These fobs are susceptible to interference. Especially if some wireless gadget is low on battery. Drive it down the shop and try it again maybe!

    Help with bulbs

Just about. Yes. Kit is good to get started then top up the ones you use.

    Whirring noise

You should only be worried if you DON'T get a whirring noise! Every time you switch the ignition on the fuel pump primes the system.

    Help with bulbs

You should already keep spares in the car. I've got dozens to choose from, stuffed under the seat! If you go in Halfords to buy them, they have a nice little book to look up your car and get a kit. Or walk in a LR dealer and just ask for individuals.

    Am i mad??

Most of what you've said is normal maintenance and day to day things wearing out! It's still got plenty of life in it yet, but it's your decision. Cross out day to day stuff- filters, tyres, bearing, amigos and everything starting with "service", "check" or "grease" and what have you actually...

    TD5 won't rev over 3000rpm

Try it. Fill it with diesel "manually", screw it on and try again. Nothing to lose!!

    TD5 new tyres very soon

+1 ^^^^ Had Michelins for 140,000 miles. Some have gone 50,000+!!! The "cross" is a great tyre (don't get confused with the "tour")

    TD5 won't rev over 3000rpm

I had that. I now top the fuel filter up with diesel before screwing it on, seems to work.

    Quick question lads

My rear axle leaked oil onto the wheel. It was the hub bearing. Needed new hub to cure it.

    Rattling noise

I'll check it out, cheers (when I work out where that is...)

    Rattling noise

Can any checks or adjustment be done on that?

Front prop (complete) replaced Xmas before last. Rear prop checked, seems tight as. Cheers.
