ok, a few small jobs today. I took the old bump stops off, which took a lot of precarious grinding angles. i brushed and rubbed the metal down and painted under the old ones. And then bolted brand new bearmach ones on i squeezed a big blob of grease between them just to stop them seizing...

cheers, i know what you mean about deterioration, there's a little bit of rusty run off coming from the hinges, these things can come on so quick. I have a seal but haven't fitted it yet, as i imagined i would have finished those jobs quicker than i have done. I've got another screen lined...

definetly get this type of riveter for putting them back on the hand rivet type is going to destroy your hands and make you swear or if you have a compressor you could get an air riveter

ive been spraying the back plates with red oxide and hammerite silver. putting new drums on, but probably wouldn't paint old ones if i was keeping
