This appears to be a defender only day out, after looking at the pictures of last years show..I ain't got a problem with exclusivity but its just nice to know. Will anyone in the more comfortable and less tractor like be visiting this show ??

A small wire attached to your starter by crappy spade connector may be the culprit if wet and covered in mud and cow sh1t. It's the starter motor 'trigger'.

Bingo.... Gotta say if any cylinders were low I'd do the gaskets anyway but you may save some time and money cus you would be nuts not to check / skim heads at the same time, if the engines overheated.

You may be onto something there, maybe I need to use more lubrication.... 'The wetter the better' applies to many things.

As the title suggests, i am having a nightmare refitting the front brake caliper pistons back in without trashing the new seals. I have refurbed the lot and need to ask if any one has a idiot proof way of getting the pistons back in, straight, with only a large engineers vice, some red grease...
