I have just changed the battery on my P38 diesel, and the dash lights & clock light won't come on when I turn the lights on. I have checked the fuses, the radio and clock still works. Any ideas?

So what are you saying, not put a head lining back at all? Just to clarify, the head lining has delaminated the soft fabric, has dropped away from the stiff board.

Ok, thanks Marty, the AA managed to get me going this morning by pressing of & on alternative lock/unlock buttons until the "armed" led went out. Which was a result, but it does make a few beeps when I switch the engine off,as if the door is open. But at least it locks, unlocks & starts each...

Another little problem I have with my ol 38 (diesel ). Is the amount of cranking it takes to start the engine when hot, especially when you leave it for more than 2 or 3 minutes or more. When it is cold it starts straight up obviously when the glow plug are induced to work by the engine sensors...

Well just reporting back to all of you that gelled with nailing the door lock problem. I fitted the lock this afternoon, & guess what it works like a dream! I might even tear the old one apart and see if it can be fixed. Gaz
