Sagging P38 headlining

Take the headlining out, strip off the material wire brush the old glue and foamy stuff and refit
some have used emulsion or even masonry paint, I just removed the material and old foam and it looked all right, was an 18 year old motor after all
 
So what are you saying, not put a head lining back at all? Just to clarify, the head lining has delaminated the soft fabric, has dropped away from the stiff board.

Remove the headling strip out the old saggy material, lightly buff the old foam and glue away from the liner and then either paint or dont whatever you refer and refit the liner
 
A temp fix is drawing pins in a nice chesterfeild sofa pattern , has held up on mine for over a year now but i must get roumd to recovering it properly.
 
Im also sporting the old chesterfield sofa look...... just waiting for the summer and some inspriation before I tackle mine

Saying that I do quite like the old sofa style look
 
Just do it properly 1st time, take it out recover it refit it will transform your car
