You might want to overseal the plenum cover screw that sits directly above the filter cover. My driver's side leaked water in like a open tap, was not the filter cover at all.

From memory (p38 less at the moment :( ) I think I sprayed lugs with plusgas or similar. Plastic lugs on each side of blade clip into slots in arm so they should pop out.

Can't help with radio spec but cruise control likely to be split vacuum pipes, very easy to replace originals with silicone tubing off eBay or similar.

Have you got a joint splitter? The sharp whack with a hammer method should work, but it didn't for me, so I used a fork type splitter, one tap and it was off.
