Ay up. Did mine a couple of years ago. Have finally got around to putting the pics I took into a guide. I know there are other guides but this is my take on it.

You should be able to load from the link below. Let me know if you see owt wrong or missing or want something adding. Probably not a good idea to print it, lots of pictures in there. About 6 meg in size.

Nice write up Stufer. Slightly more fullsome than the one on rangerovers.net which is no bad thing.

In my experience of changing the o rings, the only things I'd consider adding would be noting what tools you'll need (that long screwdriver being the main one), plus suggesting a slew of new coarse language. As you know this will come in useful whilst lying in your footwell with your hands in the guts of your dash trying to get some leverage on pipes which despite leaking, do not want to move one micron from where they are.

Cheers, good ideas, tool list, swear box (should be full by the end of the day) ;)

Stufer.

This is great. How long did it take you?
This will save £££ for us to ourselves.

Don, not rushing 4 hours to do the job (sunny day and a few cuppa's help), just a few lunchtimes on the PC to write up. Hope it helps. :D

I don't have a P38, so this is as much use to me as a chocolate teapot, but it's a great write-up and I enjoyed reading it!

Well done with the pics too....

Cheers

Pete

Hi Stu - used your guide a few days ago to do my O rings - brilliant write up. managed it in 4 hours start to finish which isn't too bad for a novice. Saved myself a huge amount at a garage.

Cheers

Josh

I am in the process of replacing said O rings and this has been really useful well done Stufer but, I have a question if I may! I noticed you cut the air duct behind the instrument panel, but how did you get the ducting out, I see it on the floor in one of your pictures and it has a serious bend in it, I’ve looked at mine, it’s the same but can’t fathom out how to remove it.
Cheers and thanks again.
