Has anyone painted or changed the look of their grill from the p1ss poor look Range Rover achieved. Mine is a dirty grey which looks really bad and lets down the front end. I've been tempted to buy one but I really think I could do a good job with some advice. Also this includes the trim panels which go under the headlights. Any idea's or pictures out there?

I tried spraying the original grey plastic one on mine but it looked **** as it all went like orange peel, so i brought a grille of eBay off a newer model which comes already painted and just resprayed it willow green to match my car. Much better result. Cost about £50 in total.

Do a :search:it's been covered many times:)

Before spraying it try a product called "forever black", it is essentially a dye for plastic and it has brought my washed out grey grill and the bits under the headlights back to a matt black - also done the door handles and loads left in the bottle, all for £15!

It is easy to apply, just dab on and let dry then repeat until you get the desired effect.

Not a great pic but two coats grey primer, four coats satin black, masked off to do under headlights.

Crikey Darren that looks sweet. I'm looking to find somewhere that I can pick it up tomorrow instead of waiting on ebay. I'd seen your RR before on ebay, when I was looking for mine.

Thanks Paul :)

I was going to spray it and tried this stuff thinking it would be rubbish but it was brilliant. One tip I would give is take the grill off the car so you can lay it flat and then mask off the land rover badge and just apply thin coats, spread with a 1" paint brush, just mask off around the under headlight trims and do the same with those, apply the dye and then use a 1" brush to spread it around and get even coats. it takes it back to the finish it had when it left the factory.

Darren.

Erm, me thinks we've all gone off on a tangent. Did Jackson have a P38. If not, leave him out of it!!!

You think a coloured bloke who claimed to be the natural father of an obviously white kid is not a bit strange? Nothing against the bloke but get real please.
