    Help!! rangie wont start

Yep. Almost certainly your battery has all but died. Classic symtoms. Get a new one, as big as will fit; check the battery megastore site. Rangeys hate weak batteries. You'll need a good one for the winter.

EAS problems and central locking with a mind of its own

As the above. Would highly recommend you get hold of the eas diagnostics software and cable. You've got a p38 - you'll need it. The nice Mr Datatek can supply you for a few shillings - send him a personal message for details.:welcome:

She's do it again EAS fault

If you connect the valves, pull out the eas relay (under passenger seat) to disable system. As wammers says if you are getting a huge list of faults then the software isn't connecting properly.

    Couple of quick questions

Yes. It flashes briefly just while it gets to normal ride height (not because its in access mode). On mine when I press the inhibit switch it does stay where it should be even after a few days. But (strike me down with lightning) I do use the access mode a lot. I know the argument is that I'm...

    Couple of quick questions

Depends if you are parked on level ground. Mine has been known to drop a bit, especially when I'm unloading tools/stuff and it does its re adjustment thing. Although it doesn't drop down to the actual access height, when you get back in the car and fire it up the access light flashes for a...

    New Owner EAS fault

Just to throw something else in the mix. I had the pressure fault come up 3 or 4 times back in the early spring, which I cleared each time with the software with the intention of investigating further. I then drilled the eas box lid for ventilation after reading advice on here (from Datatek I'm...

    'Gearbox Fault' - Limp mode?

Yep, no dipstick on thor engines. I think your going to be right about the battery low voltage. I had the gearbox fault when the tiny battery that was originally in my car started slowly dying.

    'Gearbox Fault' - Limp mode?

Not sure what model you've got, but on gems engine the gearbox oil dipstick is at back of engine on passenger side (behind engine dipstick).

Its probably a bit to complicated for someone like yourself - so I'm sending you one of my diy kits for land rovers If you get really stuck you'll need the help of wammers and Datatek

    desperate need for emmisons help!

Just check for corrosion when you remove the old leads. You have the same model as me, so the straight line coil pack tucked behind the plenum. I changed half of my coil pack soon after I got the rangie as 2 of the ports were quite badly corroded and had the same symptoms as you describe.

    What Would You Do?

Spose the funniest end of the story (for us) is that you took the other 4x4, and that broke down:D Take the Rangie. You'd be bored in the other one not having to watch the temp gauge, eas lights, hearing a noise you'd never noticed before etc etc.:crazy_driver:
