Hi peeps, replacement mirror arrived today and bugger it's a 10 pin, mine is 6 pin. Checked the wiring diagrams on Rave and cannot see a problem changing the connector and doing away with the extra wires. Anyone see a reason why it won't work?:)

The extra pins are for mirror memory - so don't think you'll have a problem. Not sure if the wiring colours are the same/will match, so there might be a bit of guesswork connecting (or checking rave of course).

Checked on Rave and the wire colours are the same to the motors and the heating element. The rest are for the auto dip and memory. I will change the connector and the mirror will be the same as me, no memory.:D:D:D

Well the firm (Midland 4X4 specialists) I bought it from rang me and said have a go changing the plugs and if it doesn't work send it back for a refund. You cannot say fairer than that.:)

Lovely job, you should be proud of yourself. Can you please send me details of what was involved just in case I come unstuck :D:D:D

Its probably a bit to complicated for someone like yourself - so I'm sending you one of my diy kits for land rovers article-2114836-1229798F000005DC-338_306x360.jpg

If you get really stuck you'll need the help of wammers and Datatek residents-angry.jpg

On a serious note, cut the plug off and replaced it with my own. Disregarded the four wires for the memory/reverse dip and connected the other six (same colour code). Working as it should. If necessary I will send you a P/M kevwill with a step by step instructions, with pictures, you cheeky bugger. May even send you how to change a 10 pin to a 6 pin.:p:D:D:D
