Tarmac wont last no where near as long as concrete. Why don't ya slab it? Slabbed driveways look ok, not too pricey either.

If it were me buying one...i'd get a defender with a 200tdi or 300tdi installed, that way running on veg oil etc wont be much of an issue. Pretty much bullet proof too. Whatever you buy...make sure it aint a nail. My preference was the hardtop, although now have a pickup. As for making it...

My advice would be....there are much better vehicles out there. If it's a petrol, i'd definately steer clear.

Hi folks. Went for a spin down to the shop and back (6miles), all was fine on the way down there...but on the way back, under acceleration 40-50mph, i noticed a dull grumbling/vibration. Extra warranties...lol... mr.Moneysupermarket guy and his experts reckon most extended warranties aint worth the paper they're written on and in some cases can void original manufacturers 12mth warranty (you'll have to read the small print on that). Much better off going down the insurance route...

Landrover will hold its value for much longer....could even be worth more than you paid for it....depending how much you paid in the 1st place. Landcruiser is more comfy. Landrover has loads more character. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i would of thought a landrover would be much cheaper to...

apparently its a 2495 diesel taxed til 01/06/2011... according to dvla??? Very dodgy!!!
