I am interested in raising my hippo by the 40mm, but I am concerned with the stresses and strains it may place on the drive train.

What have others found who have had them lifted for a while?

did you need/ use camber correction?

do your tyres still ware at a similar rate and is it still even?

any issues with wheel bearings, drive shafts ect ect????

And of course the obligatory before and after shots if you'd be so good.

I have only had my lift kit on for a year and 17,000 miles now.

It drives better than before, but the spacers will help with that.

You NEED camber pins fitted to the front and 4 wheel laser alignment. Drive shafts wear out anyway. Seems to be a common problem from around 100,000 miles.
With the 4 wheel laser alignment the tyres should wear evenly. Be aware if you go off-roading you could knock the suspension (this can happen on any vehicle) and need realignment. Not yet had any issues with wheel bearings.

50mm. Big offset wheels. Camber bolts front and rear. Eats wheel bearings and done a rear driveshaft. Do love it tho :) feckin thing!

Driveshafts. However, they only seem to fail when driving with my aggressive tread tyres for prolonged periods. With road tyres I've had no failures.
