Today I have fitted noo rear shocks. had to cut the drivers side off as it was seized solid. I've also found 4 new holes to weld, around the shock mounts :(

As I never got round to replacing the front roof lining, after doing the body cappings at B&W show. I also stripped the sagging lining off the cardboard liner. and will be repairing the damaged section and recovering it in Black waterproof carpet. Which I bought at B&W show. Got enough to do the full roof, along with a piece of soundproofing backed carpet for the seatbox & wheel boxes.

I know! My doors are falling off my fender!!!!:eek:

Oh and the wire to my drives side dip beam head light has melted today!

Halfrauds do a lightbulb holder that doesn't melt as easily as ****ty LR ones do..

just cut old one off and replace.

Had to abandon the "carpet the roof lining" idea as the carpet is too thick. so cleaned up the old liner and restuck that back on. need more glue though. As I've also glued 10mm Closed cell Foam matting to the cab roof to reduce noise and improve insulation.

I'm going to replace both head lights at the weekend so I'll just re-wire the whole lot while I'm at it!

Also going to order my new doors at long last too :D:D

Joe I have a pair of 110 cappings I took off mine, they have a little surface rust in 1 area but not perferated and in way better nick than those on yours, if you can find a way to get them, you can have em cheap

Cheers. But we fitted noo (old) body capping to it at B&W show last weekend. I picked the cappings up at the last Newbury 4x4 sortout & they've been waiting to be fitted ever since  So all's good now.

Well today has been a wasted ****e day. That has got me seriously wondering whether I should abandon landrovers all together and get a decent diesel van.

The 110 defender calipers I bought turned out not to be for a 110 after all  Well not my 110 anyway :( disc is too big..

so had to refit the old knackered caliper. which then decided not to let go of the bleed nipple. so caliper off AGAIN!! and stuck it in a vice so I could get the nipple out. The refitted caliper and bled brakes. Whilst lowering the trolley jack I noticed diesel dripping off the chassis rail. :( fooking tank has sprung a leak. Which is strange as the tank looks fairly new..

Closer inspection revealed a leak from the spotwelds around the fuel sender flange. So drained tank and cleaned the area as best I could.. before smothering the area with copious amounts of HD sealer/adhesive. silicone.. which then had to be left 4hrs to make sure it had set properly. before sticking 15ltrs of diesel back in the tank. Hopefully it'll be fine if I keep the Fuel level low enough.

And so after 12hrs of sweating and cursing I'm exactly where I started. With a heap of fooking scrap that still needs new calipers and £50 out of pocket and to add to it I need a new fuel tank..

Now about that van???????????

So after

No they were listed as remanufactured Lockheed calipers for a 110. and listed as been suitable for mine. Thy're not and they'll be going back and a paypal complaint lodged.

Please show me a post where I've laughed at other people buying expensive calipers..

Too large a diameter. no way of getting the bolts to reach the holes on the mounting bracket.
