Hope Everyone is Well.
Asked this technically before in different posts, so starting a new thread on it.
My rebuild is Disco 300tdi in to Defender 110. Just about got everything in engine now, apart from Air filter housing. I have just fitted washer bottle today and there just aint enough room on that side to fit one in, I have both the round one from Defender and Square one from Disco. Think I might have to look at the other side as there is plenty room but not got a clue where to fit it. Need to go back and look at pics I've saved and study it again.

This is not a left hand drive is it???
Just asking as the power steering reservoir is normally over the steering box

have you got the air filter that goes onto the air con bolts(off side of engine

Mine is on the other side. It's held in cradle which is bolted to the cylinder head. I post you some photos tomorrow.
Thanks .

Not on a 300TDi, on that it sits on the N/S as in his photo.

First photo is standard Defender 300TDi layout however if the donor was a Disco then yes, some adaptation will be required.
To mount the Defender airbox you will also need the mounting bracket which you can make out in the second photo.

Thanks Is there a Part Number for Mounting Bracket or is it a D I Y job ??

I am sure there is a part number but when I bought mine it had a few other bits attached...………...

NEW ENGINE 1 (2).JPG

Just did a quick search and came up with ERR2850, would need to check if that is the only part required. ;)

Cheers Did the pipes reach round from other side ?
comes as several parts your engine maybe to close to the bulk head worth checking before purchasing
Think My engine is around 7 inches further back towards Bulkhead

You won't have the space behind the engine to route the air tube, (I'm assuming it goes behind on a standard 300tdi?)

Mine is just bungee corded next to the windscreen washer bottle

Got Any pics Mate.

You can see it in this one,
It's a bodge tbh, I was supposed to come up with better solution but it's worked fine

I do not like that bracket, if you need to remove it to work below you have to remove two head bolts. Not sure if that is a problem but does not seam right.

This Bracket wont fit mine as Engine is to far Back. Wondering if I could get it to fit on the bit where Air Con goes with some kind of bracket, as mine has none.

That looks like a good spot, the problem then is getting the pipe to the turbo, possible perhaps to go over the top of engine like series landys ?

Mate did that, it kept cracking, so will need adequate support.
