What have you done to your Landie today.

1) Added front and rear light grills.

2) Drilled out and replace any loose pop rivets holding the rear body together.

3) Cleaned out interior ready to take to the mechanics today. He needs to somehow extract the broken reverse light switch that's bouncing around the gearbox. Might mean taking the whole gearbox out, in which case I'll ask him to fit a better, reconditioned one.

4) Stared admiringly at the vehicle for approx 30 minutes, then got back to boring old life.

Got me noo (to me) tyres so I sloped off work early :D....... Snapped my 1 1/8'' socket trying to undo wheelnuts ........Borrowed a 27mm socket from local tyre shop and with the aid of a blowtorch got 'em all undone and the weller 8 spokes off me SWB and swapped 'em all round

Gotta nip in the tyre shop 1st thing to swap a couple of the tyres......Reckon I'll keep the Machos on the front cause 2 of 'em are in better nick than I thought and suspect they'll behave better on wet tarmac than the diamonds so the best 2 of them'll go on the back.

So thats Penelope well back in the realms of legality with a bit more width on the tyres and a wider wheelbase and she's looking good and ready for the mud while I save up to get her some brand spankin' fook me boots :p

Gonna have to slap some Nato Green on the Wellers though.....

got the rear tub off the seatbox off and begun reclaiming the chassis bit by bit and painting up behind myself as i go along

been quite an enjoyable afternoon really :D:D:D:D

Checked the oil level, coolant and power steering, think the power steering belt needs tightening, doesn't seem to like the water too much :biggrin1:

Don't know what's going on with mine. Just after Christmas I changed the Diesel fuel filter which was blocked. Its now running much free-er and my MPG seems to have gone up. I was getting around 29/30 mpg. I will have to do a proper check with a full tank to refilling a full tank but I am doing my normal runs and the fuel gauge has hardly moved.
