Spent all day welding up the new rear spring hangers then moved on to a rust patch under the chassis, forward of the nearside rear spring front hanger. That sorted started poking around with a screwdriver and found one last hole under the front spring ,hanger. At least the weather has been good today.

just got meself set out for a mammoth push with the welding on me series 3 arse end chassis ( gonna be an explosion of raw graft happening tomorow) pics to follow:D:D:D:D

well ive changed all the belts, welded a hole in the chassis, changed all the oils, wired some speakers in and mended the fuel filter as it had pulled out of the bulkhead... pretty hard day tbh but still got home to watch england get stuffed by wales :(

Pulled off the aux fuel tank (now in 'for sales') in preparation for making up new exhaust.

Finally decided on a permanent home for the cb, fitted to roof lining near the sun visor.

Stuck on LZ web addy :D

I finished patching the front passanger footwell, repaired A post, painted the underneath of my new rear body crossmember ready for installation when I can sommon up the courage to take the rear side windows out.

Went to breakers yard to get some battery cables to wire up my winch and found a RAC transit fully loaded with front to rear heavy duty power cables, aux fuse box (10 x Feeds) various switches, slide out vice mount and a fire extinguisher then came home and wired up the winch. Correct me but i have used 2 x batteries in parralell joined earth to earth and live from starter battery to starter motor and aux battery live to winch then to charge aux battery when needed joined the lives from both batterys through heavy duty kill switch think this will work. then wound cable on to drum. raised back of bucket seats 2 inches to counteract the seat box slope, now its dark and my teas on table ........

replaced the no longer available bearing in my tensioner pulley, and tested the charge circuit, seems my alternator didnt like the mud at buildwas. put the one i had on my shelf on it and will clean up and refurb the one that came off.

Fitted the 2.5" lift kit and wheels and tyres to the disco today but have a little niggling problem, the wheels are rubbing on the front trailing arms on full lock, just wondered if there was any way of curing this
Cheers in advance
