3 hours, 2 lengths of stainless pipe, a mig welder and a holesaw resulted in this....
The TD5 exhaust is now 2.5" stainless right through to the side exit, where it's enlarged slightly to 3" to make it look a little more butch.
Not entirely happy with it just yet, I'll enlarge the hole slightly at the exit before I put on a D44 finisher. Probably get a clamp over chrome rolled trim to slip over the exit aswell to make it more pleasing to the eye. Sounds a bit bodge I know, but those chrome tail pipe ends aren't the best of quality, whereas the stainless pipe is. So the chrome exit will just slide over the top, and providing I taper the end of the 'real' exhaust it should all look nice and tidy, yet still be sturdy.
Don't half scare the kiddies now though.
