Made a bracket to put twin horns on my Defender and put in the new tudor Washer bottle Tudor Washer Bottle Lotus Elan 2 And Lotus Esprit | eBay Really small (about the same size as a sport bottle) but good novelty item at the cost of just keeping an eye on the fluid level, I'm under the bonnet at least once a week anyway :biggrin1: and makes checking the oil on my 200tdi 10 times easier because that big ugly washer bottle is no more, someone didn't think it through when they put that bottle there, nearly impossible to check the oil without bending the dipstick

Went out in the rain an noticed the wiper blades are stripping so swore a lot cos they ain't that old

Most window wipers are rubbish now, I get mine from Halfords, their no better than any others, but because I have a trade card, I get the 13" ones for £2.73 each, not bad really :D Considering Bosch ones are 8 times more expensive, doubt they would last 8 times as long

That's wot they are I work next door to halfords so being a lazy bastard it's easy to use them

Wouldn't say their worth the normal price, but for trade price I can't complain, I'm sure they were selling Britpart ones at billing for about £2 each, not sure how good they would have been :D

Took it through the local underbody car wash.....:)

Continued with the chassis prep for painting and found a small hole under the rear offside spring hanger. After a bit more prodding I have discovered serious rot under both rear hangers. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH. They have both been done by a previous owner but looks like they rotted from inside out.Going to order the hangers and other stuff like shackle bolts when the shops open again. I want to do it right so not really grumbling. Just a minor setback.

Fitted the new Orange silicone Turbo hoses, engine bay is pretty much sorted now, and also gave him a good clean :biggrin1:

Got around to sorting out the 'orrible 'stock' centre-console that was in 'Bertha' yesterday, by putting in my own version, which has some Blue Lights , put some further footwell lighting in, also controlled from the console, but independant from the main LED's, new blue-lit fag lighter socket, and LED Indicating HRW Toggle Switch.

Also put in a new ally switch panel and switchgear on the RHS, as I'd been having a bit of a relationship breakdown with my indicators - which was caused by the Hazzie switch not wanting to play all the time ...

So she has a nice blue-hue at night inside now, and will give other folk on the road a half decent clue when I'm about to change direction.

Some piccies to give you the idea. : - ( looks better in the dark though ! :) )

The blue rocker switch ( left ) controls the LED's on the panel, the amber one on the right controls the LED's that are now built into the fusebox cover .. two forward-facing, and two at each returning side of the box. The centre pushbutton which lights up with 'interior lights' in blue, is like a 'master' switch.

:)
