Yep! I also filled it up with Diesel and checked the tyre pressures today too, while we're on the topic.
I still need to put one more bolt through the rear section (the photo above), but I need to get the door open more so I can get the drill in there properly. All bolts are M8x100 "set screws" (with the thread all the way to the end, no shoulder at the top) with Nyloc nuts. The "set screws" have a tensile strength of 8.8 too, as it happens!
Oh, and my god they're cumbersome when you're on your own! I propped one end up with an axle stand, jacked the other end up into position and then put stuff in between the slider and the axle stand to keep the other end in position while I drilled through. Much easier with a second pair of hands, I imagine.

Got new wheels of fleabay (some nice boost alloys), ordered some Insa Saharas, and ordered a swing away spare wheel carrier.

fitted noo radiator and lower oil cooler pipe. checked wading plugs - nice & clean. Refilled with water only and runs very cool.
fitted noo bonnet catch.
Do all the leakoff fittings on a 300tdi have 2 connectors? coz the rear one only has one hose, but has two pipes.

just changed rear shox / damper bushes as old ones had a bit o' play in them. Other than that, nowt bar drive it
