Finished :) they're just 30x30 box with a 15mm hole and then I've put in a rubber shock mount in order to keep my rad safe :D Going to go weld these in after lunch

Top ones will be the same but they'll be bolted to the slam panel and be made of folded 2"x1"x2mm plate, pics to come later

I found the real problem was the handbrake actuator plate getting stuck to the shoe and not working as a proper lever. The handbrake was working, but very poorly. After taking it apart, cleaning crud, the plate moves opposite to the shoe and works aa a lever again, thus giving a good hanbrake feel and power .. ;)
;)
thanks paul d.
at worst, I`ll drop my prop off, then take the drum off and have a look
(never done this in my 5 years ownership)
if my WD40 dont work.

think I`ll leave it today though,
I have a headache
OK, been working like a silly bugger again, so ache like an old fart of 65...
errr, I is an old fart ..lol
taking a day off paul.
cheers,
"easye"

Not quite, I am going to try again now I have had coffee and cake.

More grinding needed I think :D:D:D

geat stuff suew.

now, my little angle grinder is one of my most used tools, and as I`ve said before, I buy boxes of the thin body cutting discs, that I use on most "cutting" applications. so much easier and quicker than hacksaws or stuff.
but the cutting disc of your choice can only be used for its correct application
- stone or metal cutting/grinding - please be aware of the differences..

my BIG mains powered angle grinders (2 of them) frighten the ****e out of me, really,
but my neighbours "paddy saw" (not my name) his petrol powered concrete saw, or metal cutting saw with right blade, Is a treasure to behold, there awsome bits of kit.
I used one on doing a cut & shut on one of my one time cabs (taxis) when I had to replace the front end...
neighbours moaned like feck about the noise, but by christ it bloody cut through fords front inner wings and chassis like butter..
lol... good times , long time ago now..

OK, your handiwork,
just think about where the sparks are going, as they can destroy windscreens/paintwork/flamables including your clothes,
that too I can vouch for.
you may need to cover over your parts (car parts :).. ) as you go, I use rubber mats/and/or, leather from old settees cushions as spark containing mats... it really works well..bits of rag dont !!

Thank you, no idea what disc is in it and I wouldn't know how to change it. Must be OK for metal cause I think the last person to use it was nrgserv when he put my diesel tank in.

No fires on the my drive, the sparks headed for the floor and I wore my gloves and googles.

Uncle isn't getting that back, I need it more :D:D

A bit of investigation and discovered the oil over the top of the injun is coming from the placky insert thingy tween head and rocker cover and the head gasket seems to have survived two split hoses in two days so might take her to Lincolnshire on the weekend to look at another Landy
