cool :-D dont get it snagged in your clothes, it will suck you in!!!!
Off to work out how an angle grinder works to finally finish my bumper
How hard can it be
indeed !!
used angle grinders for years,
and I`ve got the scars litrally, on my body to prove it.
hat plus good safety glasses go on first, gloves if you can use them too,
but, an angry angle grinder dont care whats in its path, metal, plastics, body skin & flesh is easy for it - trust me !!
went to move my disco off ramps & blocks its stood on fer ages now,
I done some serious jet washing prior to letting it dry well then shutzing it plus new shocks then,
it would`nt move - but chucked one ramp out from the front wheels and one block from the rear wheels...
got back under it with handbrake off (re blocked the wheels)
and club hammered the brake drum/hand brake till it freed off..
all sorted, and been round the block a few times with gently putting the handbrake on to clear itself out..
but did notice the handbrake lever dont like going all the way down - suspect the cable has dried out/rusted ?? tomorrow ? going to lift gaiter to give the cable some WD40 to see if its any better, some oilcan engine oil if its sorted it..
I found the real problem was the handbrake actuator plate getting stuck to the shoe and not working as a proper lever. The handbrake was working, but very poorly. After taking it apart, cleaning crud, the plate moves opposite to the shoe and works aa a lever again, thus giving a good hanbrake feel and power ..
That's the norm, mine does that after a bit of mud
Dont scare me, I have worked myself up to believing I can do this job
I take it you didn't see that recent thread on here about them that had a link to a medical journal case thingy on their use and mishaps. Certainly opened my eyes I take a lot more care now than I previously did, and even then I still used to wear gloves and safety specs. Some right bad injuries on it. Someone may have the link to hand
Stick a photo or two up
I would but I'm fed up now. I want to put an MOT on it early while I have some time.
Just going to put the old bumper back, will do the winch bumper some day.
sue, dont be beaten by the bumper, post a pic or two and lets see if anyone can help/offer advice.
Off for some cake and coffee
I hope you've got enough of that go around
I'm sure they could, I just don't want to do it anymore
Its too heavy and I probably don't have the right tools and I'm having a strop cause I'm useless
Off for some cake and coffee
