Thanks for the replys... it looks like I'll have to do the following then...
How does that sound? I'm assuming 485mm is the distance when the disco is in "normal ride height"?
- Remove the rear wheel
- Slacken off new wishbone thing
- Use a trolley jack to jack hub up to 485 is achieved
- Then tighten bolts back up nice and tight
- Re fit wheel?
Thanks again
It's a great bit of kit, well worth the money.Going back to the IID... wouldn't mind the off road info turning on on the sat nav screen...
Just finished checking my rear suspension bushes. After replacing the drivers side rear a few weeks back I had forgotten to check the hub was the correct distance away from the top of the wheel arch and this had resulted in the bushs having a twist in them. After slackening them all off and levelling the vehicle correctly (485mm from centre of wheel hub to top of arch) the rubbers are no longer twisted and fingers crossed it will improve thier life span.
I could literally see the bushes intwist!
Could you prehaps point me in the direction of the best place to buy a IID tool?
I'll PM you where I got mine, I'm sure Gaz got his from Island or Paddock
