Snorkel is all on and looking good
Neat! did you do anything further with the pipe connecting the air box and the snorkel - from what i have researched a lot of people think this is a weak link and not waterproof as standard?Snorkel is all on and looking good

Thought I'd drain the sedimenter and bleed the system today. Then checked the levels of oil in the dif which looked old and cruddy so did a quick oil change while I was at it. Think I'll run it for a bit then do it again to get more of the cruddy stuff out. Noticed I've got a swivel housing seal leak while I was at it . For good measure I cleaned out the breathers. They weren't actually blocked but they weren't clear either so glad I did it. I wanted to do the transfer box oil as well but I'd promised to take the little un for a walk at the beach and time was against me. I did how ever check it and it still full and the oil looks clean so it will wait for now. Things still to do. Transmission screen change( gear change is a bit slow and at a higher rpm on a cold morning). Fix the leaking Transmission cooler pipe and check the breathers. When I get more time it will be radius arm bushes. Oh and not forgetting whip the wings off and find that bloody water leak or leaks. And change the rear prop rear uj as its on its way out. No play in it yet but I can't get any grease in it which can't be good. Certainly not gonna be stuck for things to do on my days off.

Ok was wondering if that might workwrapped in gaffer tape as that’s all I had lol
Fitted new windscreen wipers today and sealed the front windscreen with tiger seal as i am an extreme beginner this felt completely heroic! Then the old girl has been dropped to the local 4x4 garage for the 2 inch lift install. Im ashamed to say that after watching a ton of vids i did not feel brave enough to start this! I stayed at the garage when it went up on the lift and did the full chassis and drivetrain inspection with him! Learnt more in 2 hrs than i ever did at school i think! He said thankfully the chassis is as sound as i thought, just with surface rusting which we can treat. Obvs all the usuals track rod ends , bushes hear and there but otherwise sound!
Good shout on the linkage! Yes i have a new fuel filter here ready for when it gets back! Anyone got any good tips on how to treat and protect the chassis?watts linkage looks like it’s seen better days and how old is the fuel filter?
chassis looks good!

Looks like I trashed the half shaft oil seal during the hub replacement saga
Is the d1 the same as a d2 in this respect? I can see there is a paper gasket at the join on mine where the leak is dripping from.
I refitted the the dust shield, new Mintex discs & pads, I was glad to see the pads have a friction rating of GG (HH being the best) as a few sets I looked at were only FF. I had to replace the track rod end after putting a small nick in the boot with my ball joint splitter whilst stripping it for driveshaft seal replacement . I'm waiting for a couple of new calipers to arrive as one piston boot/ dust seal had a split in it so the piston was quite corroded & it was only about £15 dearer than overhaul kits & a lot less hassle .View attachment 233593 View attachment 233594 View attachment 233595
