Developed a nice steering shudder under braking recently, very bad if I accelerate then immediately stomp on the brakes, the wheel shakes badly.
There is also a nice pulsation through the brake pedal when braking, oh what fun.

Oh and the weird bit if I brake very gently from say 70 it's fine until I reach around 35mph and she starts to shimmy and pulsate. grr!!!
crap on the discs?

I have found my EAS leak drivers rear bag has a pin hole which is shame as they are Arnott gen2s :(
No is the dilemma I payed £249 for a full set which what they want for one rear bag now and I will change as a pair, or do I go for ordinary bags

Nearly 10 years tho so not bad

There is no sign of wear or deterioration on the bags, I think it's got pin holed by a stone that must have got rolled up as the bags went lower as it's right at the bottom on extended height
Looking at bags there seams to be quite a choice and some of them look identical to the Arnott's for £86 a pair which Is very tempting.

Went and collected my bargain set of 5 comet alloy wheels and excellent tyres this morning and then took them direct to the refurbishers for 100% refurb. Should have them back next Friday and most likely before my inbound P38 arrives. LOL. Wont be long now dealer said on phone the other night.
Pictures pictures pictures!!!!

I would stay well away from Arnott 2 at the moment. They seem to be having some manufacturing issues. They've changed the design slightly since you and Dopey (and Datatek) fitted them. Dunlop are good but just don't last as long; they cannot be beaten on VFM though. Arnott 3 are great but they are costly. I got some off Amazon from a place in Scotland. Cheaper in the States but then you have shipping and returns might be tricky, although the sales team in Europe are very helpful and straight.

Discs and pads most likely need changing and the pulsating will be your ABS working ok. If you replace the disc and pads make sure you drive carefully and gentle progressive braking for the first 500 miles otherwise you will warp the new discs.

Pollen filters or scuttle, seal round pollen filter housing with self adhesive draft excluder then replace covers, scuttle drains are a bit more involved you have to take of all the trim and seal round all the screws and make sure all the drains are clear.
Well, Noah finally put his woodwork set away and the arc building battalion has been sent on leave so finally managed to have looksee what the issue is and yep Brian, pollen filter drivers side wet through so a bit of work to do there. However just checked the AC drain also and all good, Thought it would be as the navigators side was wet a couple of years ago and did the stick poking arm wet with black crud manoeuvre then and its still good now.

It's possible one of the slider feet has come off the guide? I did one for a client recently as it had dried up and dropped off:eek:
Found the problem. Took dor panel off and all 3rivets missing or snapped. With a bit of jiggling up and down to get back into position refitted with some self drilling screws I had. Jobs a good un, goes up and down OK now and under its own steam. Yipppeee:D:D
