the old unit from the scrapper had resistance in both directions and is now fitted. An original landrover part as well. 
Roger, double ball hammers, no success. I’ll clamp on the splitter and crank on it whilst using the fork to split the other. I think if one wasn’t as stubborn as the other it would work. They both seem to be hanging for grim death. I’m not in a rush tbh

Yuassa I replaced it with hasn't been charged once in 2yrs, even with 8-10weeks of inactivity it still spins her over like a top
