What did you do with your Range Rover today

A mate and long time landrover fan has purchased a P38 diesel off eBay and is on the way down to Cardiff on the train to drive it back. The seller has said there is no power to the driver's door and so nothing works.
He, like me, has never owned an electrically complicated vehicle before but I'll get him to sign up here for advice anyway.
Curious as what would this fault be though.o_O

Fuses and then centre microswitch on door actuator. If pre-98 then maybe the separate black earth wire has fouled the window mechanism.
 
That's what I am thinking. If the rain ever stops I will have a look at the one on the scrapper. It's got to be at the top of the pedal somewhere so hopefully not too hard to get to.

Thought they were under the bonnet near the throttle cable spindle.
Now I am gonna have to look:rolleyes:.
