well needed restoration of my series 2a

Hi there just wanted to ask how you have painted all the bits. what paint/equipment/technique do you use and do you have any tips as i'm gonna start rebuilding my series 3 soon.

oh yeah I almost forgot, great job it looks stunning!
 
LMAO i never thought you could get such a good finish!


get yer self a tub bout 8 inch across and a min of 6 in deep , stand yer tin of paint in it, and fill round the outside with boiling hot water out the kettle, in a few mins the paint / enamell will be really hot, as you brush it on to the undercoat / red oxide primer, it will glaze over but not run as it also aids drying, its how the old coach builders did the final finish by hand,

yes a good quality brush helps too, :)
 
well due to getting involved in other work iv done nothing to the old series fer a few weeks, hoping to get back on to it next week, iv not given up with it just yet . :) more pics to come soon
 
well, its ****ed it down all day so i took one look and went back in the workshop :)

i recon the genuine miles wer only in the 50k region , its done nothing, the engine wer MOD rebuild early 80's then i did it again just for fun :)

so yer... 0 miles from rebuild ...... the clocks right ;)
