some cut the D shape out like 300 housing so you still use 300 tdi rear main oil seal
Will the 200 rear oil seal work ?

not quite gear box has bell housingCrazy so the diesels have a flywheel housing AND a bell housing and there are numerous different options?!
Sheesh that could get confusing!!
dont know to be honest as i allways use 300 flywheel housing with 300 ,300 block doesnt have those 2 dowels near crank to keep seal correctly placedSo can we just clarify does the 200 oil seal work on the 300 crank ?

lrs allways had an issue with oil leaks from rear main bearing caps (around the edges)as well as seal so 200 used a gasket for bearing cap and to seal rear of seal and those dowels for locating ,300 uses the seal housing seperated from flywheel housing ,both work to some degree but its not unusual for oil to seep from both behind the seal
If you think it's a better option you should probably do it from the start!!
Cracking build and fred. Love the fact that you started wiv an axle swap and ended up doing a chassis up rebuild. Looking forward to seeing the end result...
That's going to be a hard working truck when your done
