The boss gave me a big wooden crate today and said "Thats to put all of your bits in when you get it out of the shed, don't forget it has to be out in 6 weeks."

Hopefully by then it will be in less bits :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Shame I can't work on this during work, this is a little project that keped me busy for a few days.

So we got the grinders out

So all finished the mechanics, 2 new bearings new main shaft and new bolts

Ran it up and all worked well. So backed it back into the barn for a new coat of paint

Just a shame I didn't get any paint for the wheels

Had a night on the welder :mil56:

Quite happy with the results.

Then I started poking in the boot with a screwdriver :mil48:

This is the result :screaming_bug_eye_f

And still need to do the rear body mounts

:Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry::Cry:

Get some more gas tomorrow then

Ye, they not good, but started with gassless so never planned on using them, so close to the end there is no point changing now. All thick metal has been welded with the arc. If I do another project then I will get a midi Argoshild at the start, but think I will save up for a decent welder before the next one though.

You got a BOC near you ? They do a small cylinder argoshield light cost £20 ish a year rental and about same for refill, holds about 10 or 11 throw away bottles worth. Get a better weld than co2 but not as good as argoshield universal.

Thats the sort of thing I needed. As I said, next project big gas. Only spotting on a few bits now then arcing the rear mounts on. I will be doing more today, after I finish re wiring the horse trailer lights.

Well, yesterday I spent most of the day rewiring the horse trailer then helped djdommyp and killajoules with the suspension swap on his Disco.

Managed to get a hours work on it though, finished the a pillar, didn't like the quality of the welding on it so fetched this bad boy to re do it.

Got some good welds with that

Did a load of sealing as well.

Put the tunnel in as well, more to get it out of the way than see if it still fit. Think I made the bulkhead tunnel a but wider but should fit ok.

Attacked the boot tonight :mil6:

Started to cut the rot out of the boot, found more than I wanted  (sorry no pics)

Luckily I found some panels lying around :D

Some of what I needed was rotten so I decided to make good and turn into a full repair panel :p

Then noticed the time so I will finish it off another day.

Got my roof rack out of the scrap heap earlier

And do I really need to fit this or can I blank off the pipes from the tank?
